Capable of handling material viscosities of up to 20 million centipoise, it can be used at the beginning, middle or end stages of the food manufacturing process.

Typical applications - butter handling: to convert large, frozen butter blocks to spaghetti-like, soft strands for easy mixing in biscuit manufacture or to portion your product into exact sizes such as chocolate bars or to solve any number of other tricky food processing problems.

The main components of this pump feeder solution are as follows:

  • Customised inlet area such as a stainless steel hopper
  • Auger chamber with auger screws
  • High capacity positive displacement pump

The product is forced into the augers to eliminate air pockets. The air-free product can then be pumped for further processing, mixing, blending or batching.

Depending upon your requirements, a blender, extruder, portioner and/or cutting device can be added at the outlet.
